Developing Curiosity Quotient to Enhance Learning as per National Education Policy 2020

Abstract :
A child is curious by nature about the world they live in. They want to know the WHYs and HOWs of everything they observe in their surroundings. Incidentally, this quality of curiosity that the child possesses can fuel a child’s desire to learn. Instilling a passion for learning can bring drastic changes in the life of the student. Nurturing your child’s curiosity is an important tool through which you can help them become a lifelong learner. Curiosity boosts learning and helps in strengthening memory. Our national educational policy (NEP 2020) suggested the various methods through which curiosity can be developed in the students. Curiosity Quotient will be an emerging parameter for preparing and instilling the skills of the 21st century. This paper focuses on knowing what is curiosity quotient is, how can it help the learners to enhance their learning, and some practical ways in which the curiosity quotient of a child can be encouraged by teachers keeping in mind the suggestions from our National Educational Policy 2020.
